February 3 – February 17, 2018
Welcome to the beautiful country of Ghana! We are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers of any age to be missionaries and share the good news of Jesus Christ with the wonderful people of Ghana during our evangelistic meetings.
“WAD Pentecost 2018” is a Total Member Involvement project initiated in the West-central Africa Division to be implemented February 3 – 17, 2018. Training for the meetings will be held on February 1, so please plan to arrive by January 31, and schedule your departure for February 18. The purpose of this project is to organize about 25,000 evangelistic meetings using all evangelism methods including small groups, indoors, and public campaigns across the ten territories of WAD. Every Union is given a quota of evangelistic centers. Preachers for this coming event are primarily workers and lay members from the local fields and Unions within the Division. However, an invitation is extended to preachers outside the WAD Division, including GC leadership and personnel, and other world Divisions. WAD hopes to raise one million US dollars to carry this project to a successful end.
Ghana is a Christian / Muslim country with a population of 27 million. The official language is English; however, over 200 dialects are spoken across the country. There are two main seasons in Ghana; the dry season from November to March and the rainy season from April to October. We are blessed to be holding our meetings during the dry season. Some other fun facts about Ghana:

- Producer of Kente cloth
- Home to a variety of wildlife, beaches, coastal towns, colonial buildings and castle museums
